Corporate Guardianship Providing a caring, professional service that goes beyond the legal requirements of guardianship. One of Easter Seals first programs matched community volunteers and persons with disabilities in a mentor and advocate relationship. This paved the way to begin training volunteers to become legal guardians for adults who needed assistance making life decisions and to become one of the first organizations in Southeast Wisconsin to recruit, screen, train and support volunteer legal guardians exclusively for adults with developmental disabilities. Our Corporate Guardianship Program provides a caring, professional service that goes beyond the legal requirements of guardianship. We provide advocacy for clients’ best interests; responsible decision making for medical, financial, personal, and social needs; regular contact with client, caseworker, and service providers; written documentation of client progress; active participation in client staffings; and crisis intervention. Corporate Guardianship is managed by Easter Seals and is a member of the National Guardianship Association. To request more information on our Guardianship Program contact Nan Upright-Sexton at (414) 963-5918 or contact us. |
