CVS Caremark’s Commitment to Easter Seals

Since Easter Seals was selected in 2006 as a national partner in the CVS Caremark All Kids Can Program, more than $8.1 million has been contributed to Easter Seals by the company, its private foundation and its associates nationwide to ensure that children with disabilities we serve can learn, play and succeed in life. We are blessed with the commitment that CVS Caremark has made to our cause and to the families we serve: through program grants to advance services for children and young adults living with disabilities; through employment of Easter Seals clients; through volunteerism including board participation; and through support of Easter Seals events, including its national sponsorship and local participation in Walk With Me which this year alone is on track to exceed $2 million.

Coloring Our World

In 2009, Easter Seals Southeast Wisconsin, in collaboration with artist Kitty Dyble Thompson, was awarded an Artist and Community Collaboration Grant through the Wisconsin Arts Board. Our project is to paint a mural, in celebration of our 75th Anniversary, on our Child Development Center building, located on 53rd and Burleigh.

Several community partners, individuals and businesses to took part in our “paint by number workshops”. This masterpiece, inspired by original artwork created by Easter Seals youth and adult participants is finally complete. Be sure to drive by our building to see how beautiful the mural turned out! Watch for an unveiling date coming soon!
